Inspired by this inspirational website, I decided to write about a few key items I love in my office. I've written about my office (and its various forms) three times before, which is excessive. The thing is, clocking in at 50 hours per week- I practically live here. My office walls are lined with colorful fabric to prevent insanity.



The current theme appears to be Marine Biology. I have a passion for Marine Biology, and it helped that the old Marketing office was dubbed "the fish bowl" because of its large glass windows.

Bits of Art

All artwork is obtained locally. Nicole Middleton did all of the realistic paintings, I shared a booth with her at the Riverside Arts Market and we did a few Art Trades.

This spotted red fish, however, is from a colorful, nautical themed boutique in St. Augustine (a fish lover's playground!)



Another piece I really like is this squid, which I found for a low price at 3 Eclectic Chicks Art Boutique where my art was once featured (it's sadly no longer in business).

Meomi poster & Koi Wall Scroll from Earth's Gifts

I have 2 Octonauts posters from Meomi.com- I admire their Japanese inspired graphic and web design.



A sentimental piece is this handmade clay koi which was made for me by a good friend.



My Japanese tea pot (bought back by my dad when he was stationed there) is not ornamental. I use the teapot and cups several times a day. Speaking of which, it's tea time now...

I should be moving again (about the 5th move in a year and 2 months) to small cubicle within a few weeks. I like my office, but a move is always a refreshing change. I might take the fish theme home and craft some kind of steam punk, robot, or horror theme next. Being surrounded by colorful eclectic objects inspires me to write, design, and simply survive the work day.
