What have you left behind at Thrift Stores or Flea Markets lately? I am forbidden to enter! But at least I have hundreds of photos to look back on. By now I could open my own flea market stock image site...

Things I Didn't Buy at the Flea Market...Boy Panties, Puppies, and More! |
I'm lucky to live in Florida, the land of perennial flea marketing and yard sales. But I'm taking a flea market and thrift store break while I pack, clean, and price boxes of merchandise at the homestead. I'm proud to say I've nearly finished organizing a moving a lifetime's worth of finds! I thought I'd look back at recent flea memories to get my flea fix in the meantime. When I make it back I'll be organized and ready for it! Fun times!

Great, funny post! Made me smile drinking my morning coffee.
ReplyDeleteGlad it made you smile!
DeleteI need to bring my camera along more often. I haven't done that in a long time. Great photos. Makes me want to visit Florida. The tourist association should be paying you ;)
ReplyDeleteThey should, I'm all for that gesture! I never leave the house without a camera, you never know what you'll see that needs to be documented.
DeleteThis post is so fun!!!!!! The gag gift about snowballs is hilarious! I kinda want the 2 boys picture lol
ReplyDeleteI love that thing, too. Gave me a "Shining" vibe.
DeleteThat fan is awesome...
ReplyDeleteYes it was, he wanted like $25 or more which leaves almost no meat to the bone for a reseller. Boo!
DeleteAck-the needlepoint and the general radio that "Plays all your favorite AM radio stations" are too cute. Are there still AM radio stations?
ReplyDeleteI applaud your self control. Now I have the urge to go to the thrift store.Well played, Van..well played.
Self control is easier when prices are sky high. That and you already have boxes and boxes to organize, photograph, etc. The needlepoint was hard to leave, I'll admit!
Deletei love the fan and the chair. and the snowball joke too - LOL. we have a flea market where i live but it always seems overpriced to me. there's not a lot of vintage stuff - more like dollar store stuff that someone's trying to make two dollars on - so i tend to avoid them and only go to thrift shops. but maybe i need to be more open minded and check back or check other areas. you've inspired me!
ReplyDeleteIt's always worth it to thoroughly explore all your venues, you never know which flea market in town can be a hidden treasure trove. I always find lots of vintage at local flea markets.
DeleteHAHA. That snowman joke was cute. I like that fan & I want to see that movie!
ReplyDeleteSnowballs would have come home with me if it wasn't so water damaged.
